About the role#
The Private Client Banking Strategy, Analytics, & Sales Intern joins the Private Client Banking division at Raymond James Bank. This internship offers exposure to the full lending lifecycle, including Securities Based Lending, residential mortgages, margin lending, and tailored lending solutions. You will work with teams responsible for sales enablement, pricing strategy, business analytics, and product management to support strategic initiatives and business development.
What you'll do#
- Analyze lending, sales, and portfolio data to support business decision-making.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using tools like Tableau, Excel, Qlik, SQL, Access, and Power BI.
- Create reports measuring loan production, advisor adoption, profitability, and client engagement metrics.
- Support financial modeling, forecasting, and performance measurement tasks.
- Prepare management reporting packages, executive summaries, and presentations.
- Assist the Securities Based Lending Consulting team by analyzing production metrics and portfolio performance.
- Help evaluate mortgage pricing competitiveness and track campaign performance.
- Assist with pricing new loans using Return on Equity (ROE) methodologies and conduct profitability assessments.
- Respond to inquiries from advisors, branch professionals, and internal business partners.
- Develop educational materials, sales resources, and internal communications.
- Coordinate meetings, training programs, and advisor engagement events.
What you'll need#
- Junior standing pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Strong academic performance with demonstrated analytical aptitude.
- Knowledge of financial services industry concepts, including advisor business models and lending practices.
- Familiarity with financial modeling, forecasting, and performance measurement techniques.
- Understanding of pricing strategy concepts like ROE, profitability analysis, and risk-adjusted returns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, SQL, Qlik, or Power BI.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret quantitative data, and communicate insights effectively.
- Capability to organize and manage multiple assignments while working both independently and in teams.
