About the role#
Raymond James is seeking a Summer Associate - Law Clerk for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, temporary position that provides an opportunity to support in-house counsel and members of the legal department across litigation, regulatory, and transactional practices. You will work under general supervision to complete legal research projects and assist with varied assignments.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research using both written and electronic sources.
- Prepare legal memos and compile facts or case information.
- Conduct or update 50 state surveys.
- Review legal agreements.
- Use required software applications and operate standard office equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree program.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and apply legal information.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Willingness to learn legal software such as Westlaw and Bloomberg.
- Knowledge of professional office practices and business unit principles.
