About the role#
This Summer Analyst position is part of the Private Capital Advisory team within the Capital Markets and Advisory division. You will assist with deal origination, execution, and management. This role offers hands-on experience and training in secondary market advisory and placement agent services. You will work directly with senior bankers and gain exposure to business matters of significance.
What you'll do#
- Build financial models to assess debt and equity financing alternatives.
- Perform valuation methodologies, including comparative company analysis and discounted cash flow analysis.
- Contribute to equity offerings, valuations, private placements, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Research and document drafting elements for developing transactions.
- Collaborate with senior bankers to create client presentation materials and strategies.
- Analyze industry trends and current events to provide input on deal impacts.
- Maintain group databases for research and analysis purposes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate degree program, ideally with a focus on Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting.
- Knowledge of investment banking, securities industry practices, tax, and accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and linkages.
- Proficiency in using technology to produce reports and presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and track details while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Commitment to ethical principles and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
