About the role#
Equity Research helps clients make informed investment decisions by providing independent analysis of publicly traded companies and industries. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced analysts to build financial models, evaluate market trends, and support real-world research projects. This program is designed to deepen your understanding of financial markets while developing skills valued across the investment industry. Successful interns may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time role after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Assist with company, industry, and market research projects to support investment recommendations.
- Analyze financial statements and metrics to develop a fundamental understanding of publicly traded companies.
- Support the development of financial models used for forecasting, valuation analysis, and investment research.
- Conduct research on market trends, industry developments, and economic events.
- Collaborate with team members to prepare reports, presentations, and other research materials.
- Apply accounting, finance, and equity valuation concepts to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Prepare Initiations of Coverage, write earnings notes, and complete industry whitepapers.
What you'll need#
- Junior standing pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, economics, data science, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Legal authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Knowledge of accounting, finance, and equity valuation methodologies.
- Understanding of financial statement analysis, financial markets, equity securities, and key market drivers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and work independently or collaboratively.
