About the role#
BDO Canada is hiring Assurance and Accounting students for our GTA offices. This role begins in September 2027, with options for a 4-month or 8-month term. You will work within our Assurance and Accounting team, applying your academic knowledge to real-world projects while working toward your CPA designation. We provide mentorship, exam fee reimbursement, and CFE prep support to help you succeed.
What you'll do#
- Apply technical knowledge from your accounting courses to project assignments.
- Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements, and notice to reader engagements according to regulatory standards.
- Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by responding to their requests and suggestions.
- Communicate regularly with team members to provide progress updates and address issues as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting degree or diploma program.
- A commitment to teamwork and a desire to provide high-quality client service.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven leadership ability and the initiative to seek understanding.
Location & details#
- Locations: Toronto (Bay St) and Oakville, Ontario.
- Term: Fall 2027.
- Compensation: $54,000 - $64,000 annually.
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Work modality: Hybrid, including time in the office, at client sites, and virtual work.
