About the role#
This co-op or internship position sits within the Technology department at BCI. You will join the IT Service Management team to support the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the ServiceNow platform. This role involves collaborating with team members to align the platform with business processes and operational needs while gaining hands-on experience with an enterprise ITSM tool.
What you'll do#
- Configure workflows, forms, and modules in ServiceNow to meet business needs.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new solutions.
- Design and implement automated workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users.
- Create and analyze reports to provide insights and improve platform usability.
- Participate in platform upgrades, including testing for compatibility and functionality.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as user guides and procedures.
- Review and improve existing operational documents for clarity and accuracy.
- Provide end-user support to assist employees with the platform.
What you'll need#
- University-level coursework in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, JavaScript, or HTML/CSS.
- A basic understanding of IT concepts, including IT service management or IT support processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly.
- Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative team environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Victoria, British Columbia.
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Modality: This position is on-site in Victoria, with the option to work from home one day per week.
- Employment: Full-time paid position.
