About the role#
The Winter Intern for AI Strategy & Enablement supports Mackenzie Investments in building connections with long-term investors through social and digital channels. You will work directly with the AI Enablement team and marketing partners to test how artificial intelligence makes engagement more scalable. The role focuses on understanding how digitally engaged investors use social platforms to learn about markets and make investment decisions. You will build lightweight AI tools, agents, and workflows that remain useful after your internship concludes.
What you'll do#
- Research investor communities, behaviors, and content formats to identify what drives trust and engagement.
- Build and document AI agents and workflows for social listening, trend detection, and audience analysis.
- Analyze social signals to provide insights for marketing, product, and distribution strategies.
- Prototype content concepts and educational formats using AI tools.
- Design experiments to test hypotheses about audience engagement and message resonance.
- Contribute to AI Enablement and Innovation Lab projects while sharing reusable patterns with the team.
- Translate research findings into recommendations for maintaining a credible and differentiated presence in digital communities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in business, finance, economics, computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
- Coursework or interest spanning both business and technology.
- Experience with social media and generative AI tools through projects, internships, or personal initiatives.
- Familiarity with social listening tools, Python, APIs, data analysis, automation, low-code tools, or data visualization.
- Strong research, analytical, and structured problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and attention to detail.

- Location: Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
- Modality: Hybrid (three days per week in the office).
- Status: Full-time (37.5 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an expected prorated salary range of $49,000 to $51,000.
