About the role#
BCI is seeking a Portfolio Management and Insights Co-op Student or Intern for the Infrastructure and Renewable Resources (I&RR) department. This role is available for the Winter 2027 (January to April) or Summer 2027 (May to August) term. You will work within a team that manages over $36 billion in assets, focusing on private infrastructure, timberland, and agriculture sectors.
What you'll do#
- Prepare analyses to support ongoing portfolio monitoring.
- Create presentation materials for portfolio reviews and client meetings.
- Deliver presentations in group settings.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on operational projects.
- Support ad hoc research and briefing requests.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Finance, Economics, or Business Administration program.
- A strong interest in investing and finance.

Location & details#
- Location: 750 Pandora Avenue, Victoria, BC.
- Work Modality: This is an on-site position with the option to work from home one day per week.
- Compensation: $2,745.00 gross bi-weekly, plus vacation pay at 6% of salary.
- Benefits: Access to virtual primary care and mental health supports, plus two paid days per year for volunteering.
- Relocation: A fixed-rate travel allowance is provided for students moving to Victoria for the work term.
