About the role#
The Office Assistant position at Brooks College involves working the front desk of the residential college to meet community needs. You will serve as a point of contact for residents, assist faculty members who office in the area, and help maintain the common spaces. This role is open to both Brooks residents and non-residents.
What you'll do#
- Manage the front desk, including checking materials in and out for residents.
- Greet visitors and answer inquiries while providing customer service.
- Assist with office tasks like maintaining files and reports.
- Monitor door alarms and ensure common areas remain clean.
- Service the coffee cart and support various projects as needed.
- Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to comply with all University policies.
- Reliability in maintaining regular and punctual attendance.
- Experience with project assistance or similar administrative tasks.
- Students in Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, Public Health, or Human Resources are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- Location: Brooks College, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week, with flexible hours self-scheduled during team meetings.
- Pay: $8.00 per hour.
