Student Worker - Office Assistant

About the role#

The Office Assistant position at Brooks College involves staffing the front desk and supporting the daily operations of the residential college. This role is responsible for meeting community needs, assisting faculty, and serving as a primary point of contact for residents and visitors.

What you'll do#

• Manage the front desk, including checking materials in and out for residents.
• Provide general office support and assist with various administrative projects.
• Greet visitors and residents, answer inquiries, and provide information with a focus on customer service.
• Maintain files, reports, and sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
• Assist with common area maintenance, door alarm assessments, and coffee cart service.
• Support faculty members who office within the residential college.

What you'll need#

• Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Experience in project assistance or similar tasks.
• Ability to comply with all University policies.
• Commitment to regular and punctual attendance.
• Enrollment in a major such as Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, Public Health, or Human Resources.

• Work Modality: On-site.
• Commitment: Part-time, up to 20 hours per week.
