Student Worker - Office Assistant

About the role#

The Office Assistant provides administrative and relational support to on-campus communities within Campus Living and Learning. This role serves as a resource for residents, visitors, and staff while maintaining the safety and security of the residential community. This position is paid and requires on-site work.

What you'll do#

• Monitor door security and report issues to appropriate staff, such as Community Leaders or Residence Hall Directors.
• Provide administrative support to residents, including room access assistance, equipment check-outs, and basic technical support.
• Maintain accurate log books for unlock codes, maintenance requests, equipment, lost and found items, and gift registries.
• Communicate resident concerns to hall staff and enforce Campus Living and Learning policies.
• Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Residence Hall Director.

What you'll need#

• Must have completed at least one semester as a Baylor student.
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA to remain in the position.
• Demonstrate professional, friendly, and proactive communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, practice good time management, and work effectively within a team.
• Willingness to learn front desk computer programs and provide customer service to a diverse population.

• Location: Penland Hall, Waco, Texas.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Work schedule: Maximum of 20 hours per week.
