About the role#
The Mayborn Museum Store Associate position involves engaging with visitors, university educators, and staff to provide high-quality customer service. As the final stop in the visitor experience, associates contribute to creating a memorable visit for guests at the museum.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and provide excellent customer service.
- Answer inquiries and provide information regarding merchandise, museum history, and exhibits.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and supporting events.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and manage cash transactions.
- Handle assigned projects and tasks related to business operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, preferably in Business Administration or Communications.
- Experience with cash handling.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
- Professional conduct in appearance and interactions with visitors and colleagues.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Commitment to regular and punctual attendance.
- Ability to comply with university policies.

- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at the Mayborn Museum.
- Term: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
- Compensation: Paid position at $10.00 per hour.
