About the role#
The Mayborn Museum Store is seeking a Student Worker to assist with daily operations and provide quality service to visitors, university educators, and staff. As the final stop for many museum guests, this role focuses on creating a memorable experience while supporting the museum’s business functions.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and provide excellent customer service.
- Answer inquiries and provide information about museum history, exhibits, and merchandise.
- Assist with business operations, including cash handling and using the point-of-sale system.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of events as needed.
- Complete assigned projects and tasks related to museum operations.
What you'll need#
- Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
- Professionalism in appearance and interactions with visitors and colleagues.
- Ability to comply with all university policies.
- Consistent and punctual attendance.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.

- Work Modality: On-site at the Mayborn Museum.
- Term: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
- Compensation: Paid position at $10.00 per hour.
