About the role#
The Mayborn Museum is a hands-on science and natural history museum located on the Baylor University campus. As a store associate, you help provide a positive final impression for museum visitors. You will engage with guests, university staff, and educators while managing daily retail operations.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and provide helpful customer service.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions.
- Answer visitor questions about museum exhibits and merchandise.
- Maintain a working knowledge of museum history.
- Assist with business operations, special projects, and event coordination.
What you'll need#
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
- Professionalism in your appearance and interactions with others.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Commitment to regular and punctual attendance.
- Compliance with all university policies.
- Majors in Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology are preferred.

- This position is located at the Mayborn Museum in Waco, Texas.
- This is an on-site, part-time role.
- Employment covers the Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 terms.
- Pay is set at $10.00 per hour.
