Student Worker - Mayborn Museum Store Associate Summer/Fall - BC

About the role#

The Mayborn Museum Store is seeking a Student Worker to assist with daily operations and provide quality service to visitors, university educators, and staff. As the final stop for many museum guests, this role focuses on creating a memorable experience while supporting the museum’s business functions.

What you'll do#

• Greet visitors and provide excellent customer service.
• Answer inquiries and provide information about museum history, exhibits, and merchandise.
• Assist with business operations, including cash handling and using the point-of-sale system.
• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of events as needed.
• Complete assigned projects and tasks related to museum operations.

What you'll need#

• Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
• Professionalism in appearance and interactions with visitors and colleagues.
• Ability to comply with all university policies.
• Consistent and punctual attendance.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.

• Work Modality: On-site at the Mayborn Museum.
• Term: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
• Compensation: Paid position at $10.00 per hour.
