About the role#
This position supports the Chief Village Officer in the daily operation of a private convenience store located on the Creekside Community Village campus. The role involves working alongside formerly homeless men and women to provide service to store shoppers. This is an off-campus, paid student employment opportunity for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Operate a point-of-sale system to assist customers.
- Manage store inventory through stocking, cleaning, and organizing.
- Support community service partnerships and administrative tasks.
- Assist the Chief Village Officer with facility management.
What you'll need#
- Eligibility for Federal Work-Study.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, phone, and email communication.
- A reliable form of transportation and a valid driver license.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems or a willingness to learn.
- A personable, motivated, and adaptable approach to work.
- Maturity and a commitment to the Christian faith and spiritual life.
- Majors in Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or Sociology are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at Mission Waco Mission World.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week with flexible working hours.
- Pay Rate: $11.00 to $12.50 per hour, depending on student status and skill level.
