About the role#
The Riley Digitization Center is seeking a Student Digitization Assistant to support digital projects and departmental operations. This position involves working with library collections and digital systems to assist with the preservation and management of materials.
What you'll do#
- Digitize materials using specialized imaging, audio, and video hardware.
- Perform quality control and create derivative files for digitized content.
- Manage digital files and organize physical materials.
- Maintain workflow checklists for ongoing projects.
- Assist with general business operations and administrative tasks.
- Provide customer service to clients as needed.
What you'll need#
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work with initiative.
- Capacity to follow University policies and procedures.
- Commitment to regular and punctual attendance.
- Strong attention to detail for quality checking.
- Students from Graphic Design, Computer Science, Media Studies, Business Administration, or Operations Management programs are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- Location: Moody Library, Waco, Texas.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- Employment status: Paid, part-time, and ongoing.
