About the role#
The Operations Student Assistant helps maintain the Bill Daniel Student Center, often called the heart of the Baylor campus. You will provide essential administrative and operational support to keep the facility running for students, visitors, and campus partners. This role involves a mix of guest services, event logistics, and general office maintenance.
What you'll do#
- Deliver customer service to guests and callers, including answering inquiries and guiding visitors to locations.
- Manage event logistics by setting up and breaking down meeting spaces and tabling for student organizations.
- Provide technical support for audio and visual equipment.
- Maintain files, reports, and internal records while ensuring information remains confidential.
- Monitor the building to ensure cleanliness and coordinate with the housekeeping team.
- Perform daily business operations tasks and assist with special departmental projects.
What you'll need#
- Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative in a professional setting.
- Capacity to follow and comply with all University policies.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Experience with Ad Astra is helpful but not required.
- Students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Psychology are encouraged to apply.

- This position is located at the Bill Daniel Student Center in Waco, Texas.
- This is an on-site, paid role for the Fall 2026 term.
- The position is part-time and does not offer sponsorship.
