    About the role#

    The facility operations team at the McIntire School of Commerce is looking for UVA students to help with the day-to-day operations of Rouss & Robertson Halls, Shumway Hall, and Cobb Hall. This role provides hands-on experience in facilities coordination, event support, and workplace logistics. The position is part-time, typically around 10 hours per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Deliver packages and materials between buildings, offices, and departments.
    • Identify facility issues and submit maintenance tickets.
    • Track open facility requests and follow up on progress.
    • Keep shared spaces organized and functional.
    • Prepare rooms for meetings and programs by setting up tables, chairs, and signage.
    • Reset spaces after events conclude.
    • Provide on-site operational support during events.
    • Assist with general operational tasks as they arise.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be a current undergraduate student at UVA.
    • You must submit a resume with your application.
    • The role involves physical activity including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. You must be able to lift 25 to 40 lbs.
