About the role#
The Office Assistant at Brooks College serves as the primary point of contact at the front desk of the residential college. This role supports the daily operations of the community by assisting residents and faculty, maintaining common areas, and ensuring the front desk remains organized and welcoming.
What you'll do#
- Provide general administrative support and office assistance.
- Greet visitors, answer inquiries, and provide information to residents and guests.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for residential materials.
- Monitor door alarms and ensure common area spaces are clean and tidy.
- Service the coffee cart and assist with various projects or tasks as assigned.
- Maintain accurate files and reports.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Commitment to following all University policies.
- A record of excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, with schedules determined at the start of each semester.

- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week.
- Term: Fall 2026.
