LRC Student Assistant

About the role#

The LRC Student Assistant supports the daily operations of the School of Education. This position involves managing resources, assisting patrons, and maintaining the facility's equipment and organization.

What you'll do#

• Assist patrons with finding resources and utilizing equipment in the Media Lab.
• Manage the check-in and check-out process for faculty, students, and area teachers, ensuring all items are returned in their original condition.
• Re-shelve returned resources during every shift and periodically check shelves for misshelved items.
• Maintain facility operations by checking printers, refilling paper, checking the mail daily, and unlocking lab classrooms for scheduled faculty classes.
• Answer the telephone when supervisors are absent and assist with inventory or special projects as needed.

What you'll need#

• Must be a current Baylor University student.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Punctuality and a willingness to work.
• Majors in Business Administration or Psychology are preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Waco, Texas (On-site at LRC Mars Mclean Science).
• Schedule: Varies by student, ranging from 5 to 20 hours per week.
• Hours of operation: Sunday 2:00pm–9:00pm, Monday–Thursday 7:30am–9:00pm, and Friday 7:30am–3:00pm.
• Compensation: $9.00/hr.
• Term: Rolling/ongoing.
