About the role#
The LRC Student Assistant supports the daily operations of the School of Education at Baylor University. This position involves managing resources, assisting patrons, and maintaining the facility to ensure the lab runs smoothly for students, faculty, and visiting teachers.
What you'll do#
- Help patrons locate resources and operate equipment within the Media Lab.
- Manage the check in and check out process for all items, verifying that returned materials are complete and in good condition.
- Re-shelve returned resources and check shelves for items that are out of place.
- Refill printer paper and check equipment status.
- Answer the telephone when supervisors are away.
- Unlock lab classrooms for faculty members before scheduled classes.
- Collect daily mail and assist with inventory tasks or special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student at Baylor University.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- A reliable work ethic and a commitment to being on time.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located at the LRC Mars Mclean Science building in Waco, Texas.
- The role is part-time, with shifts available between 5 and 20 hours per week.
- The department operates on a rolling basis for employment.
- This is a paid position.
