About the role#
The LRC Student Assistant supports the daily operations of the School of Education. This position involves managing resources, assisting students and faculty, and maintaining the functionality of the Media Lab. This is a paid, part-time position with a flexible schedule ranging from 5 to 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist patrons with locating resources and utilizing Media Lab equipment.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for resources, ensuring all items are returned in their original condition.
- Re-shelve returned materials during every shift and periodically check for misshelved items.
- Maintain office equipment by checking printers and refilling paper as needed.
- Answer the telephone when supervisors are unavailable.
- Unlock lab classrooms for faculty as scheduled.
- Assist with daily mail collection and departmental inventory tasks.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current Baylor University student.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Punctuality and a willingness to work.
