LRC Student Assistant

About the role#

The Learning Resource Center (LRC) at Baylor University is seeking a Student Assistant to support daily operations within the School of Education. This role involves managing resource circulation, maintaining lab equipment, and assisting faculty and students with operational tasks.

What you'll do#

• Assist patrons with locating resources and using Media Lab equipment.
• Manage resource circulation by checking items in and out, verifying condition and completeness upon return.
• Maintain the facility by re-shelving items, checking for misplaced materials, and refilling printer paper.
• Support administrative tasks including answering the telephone, checking daily mail, and assisting with inventory.
• Unlock lab classrooms for scheduled faculty sessions.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a student at Baylor University.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Punctuality and a consistent work ethic.

Location & details#

• Location: LRC Mars McLean Science, Waco, Texas.
• Schedule: On-site, 5-20 hours per week based on availability. Operating hours are Sunday 2:00pm-9:00pm, Monday-Thursday 7:30am-9:00pm, and Friday 7:30am-3:00pm.
• Compensation: $9.00 per hour.
• Term: Ongoing rolling basis.
