About the role#
The Graduate Student Store Worker supports the daily operations of The Store, the campus food pantry at Baylor University. This role involves maintaining pantry facilities, managing inventory, and providing essential services to students. The position requires a commitment of 15 to 20 hours per week during the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Open and close the facility and maintain a clean, organized pantry environment.
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, tracking supplies, and assisting with food deliveries and donation drives.
- Provide respectful and confidential service to students visiting the pantry.
- Guide undergraduate student workers and volunteers during shifts.
- Assist with pantry data collection, reporting, and administrative tasks.
- Support outreach efforts and special events.
- Communicate operational needs, supply concerns, and student support issues to the supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a graduate student at Baylor University.
- Preferred academic backgrounds include Business Administration, Psychology, Nutrition, or Sociology.
- Ability to handle inventory tasks, data reporting, and pantry maintenance.
- Capacity to lead and guide undergraduate student workers.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas (On-site at The Store, 1410 S 3rd St).
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
- Schedule: 15 to 20 hours per week.
