About the role#
This internship offers master's level students a chance to grow within our procurement function. You will work on real projects, build a professional network, and learn how procurement operates at Bayer. The program includes coaching, feedback, and specific training to help you develop your skills.
What you'll do#
- Provide support or leadership on procurement projects in areas like marketing, logistics, warehousing, direct materials, contract manufacturing, and professional services.
- Drive decision making through data analysis and project management.
- Interact with stakeholders during supplier meetings.
- Collaborate on group projects and develop procurement-centric solutions.
- Participate in weekly debrief meetings.
- Prepare and deliver a self-introduction presentation and an internship summary presentation.
- Record short videos for an internal blog to share your experiences.
- Conduct informal informational interviews to expand your network.
- Travel domestically as needed to support project work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a first-year master's student in an MBA or equivalent program.
- An advanced degree in business administration, engineering, or natural sciences.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 within your major.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and learning agility.
- Strong skills in building partnerships and collaborating across cultures.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in procurement.
- Ability to travel domestically one to two times during the summer.
- Experience in procurement or related business fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of general procurement processes, project management, and change management is a plus.
