About the role#
This is a long-term, year-round cooperative education position based at the Organo Silanes & Silicones (OSS) Plant in Midland, Michigan. Unlike short-term internships, this role requires a commitment of at least one full calendar year while you continue your undergraduate studies. You will gain professional experience by working alongside colleagues and leaders in a multi-national environment.
What you'll do#
- Support employee onboarding and administrative tasks.
- Coordinate meetings, interviews, events, and workplace resources.
- Prepare routine reports and manage process-related information.
- Assist with audit preparation and inventory activities.
- Maintain organized files, records, and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to support daily operations.
- Complete additional administrative projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment at an accredited college or university located near the Midland Dow site, pursuing an undergraduate degree.
- Completion of at least 6 credit hours per term during both Fall and Winter terms.
- Ability to begin work within 3 weeks of an offer and commit to the role for at least 1 full year.
- High school diploma or GED and must be 18 years of age or older.
- Residence within 50 miles of the Midland Dow site.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship provided).
- Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and follow-through on assignments.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with a positive, flexible attitude.
- A GPA of 3.000 or higher is preferred.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Operations Management, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
