About the role#
The Lubrizol Corporation offers internship opportunities for students pursuing degrees in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Data Science, Economics, and Logistics. We offer both summer-only positions and full-year internships. Roles are based in Brecksville, Ohio, or Deer Park, Texas. You will work 40 hours per week during the summer, with hybrid part-time options available during the academic year for local students.
What you'll do#
- Develop and interpret analytical reports to support business decisions.
- Track key processes and metrics to improve operational excellence.
- Run analyses to gauge internal compliance with policies and procedures.
- Partner on cross-functional projects with departments like Finance and Trade Compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including freight optimization and e-commerce operations.
- Lead risk management and inventory management projects.
- Assist with the development of the Business Continuity Playbook.
- Support production scheduling by identifying cycle variances and capacity factors.
- Monitor material movements, review lot sizes and safety stocks, and maintain lead times.
- Collaborate on trajectory and asset plans for business units.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Economics, Logistics, or a similar field.
- Expected graduation date on or after August 2027 for summer-only students or May 2028 for full-year students.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to integrate business acumen with technical skills.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and imperfect data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
