About the role#
The Procurement Intern position offers students the chance to gain experience in chemical manufacturing through a program spanning Summer 2027 to Spring 2028. You will work with global teams to support sourcing strategies and operational improvements. This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week on-site during the summer, transitioning to 10-20 hours per week in a hybrid or remote capacity for the Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 semesters.
What you'll do#
- Develop and interpret analytical reports using SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
- Support cross-functional sourcing initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings and vendor harmonization.
- Improve Operational Excellence by tracking and reporting on key metrics.
- Collaborate with departments including Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Logistics.
- Run compliance analyses for Procurement policies and procedures.
- Partner with global colleagues to standardize practices and execute multiple project tasks simultaneously.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Expected graduation date on or after Spring 2028.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort working in ambiguous situations and analyzing imperfect data.
- Attention to detail while managing multiple project tasks.
