About the role#
This co-op position focuses on investigating post-transcriptional gene expression regulation within Plant Biotechnology. You will join a team of scientists to process functional genomics datasets and contribute to shared research goals.
What you'll do#
- Perform bioinformatic analysis of functional genomics datasets.
- Collaborate with scientists to execute, analyze, and interpret molecular biology experiments.
- Document research plans, methods, and data analyses.
- Prepare reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Follow operational standards, safety protocols, and compliance policies.
- Coordinate work within a larger team and across functional groups.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a US university pursuing an MS or PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience with gene expression data and analysis of large datasets.
- Familiarity with cloud computing.
- Ability to design, plan, and execute experiments independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning.
