About the role#
We are looking for an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team for the 2027 summer season. This is a full-time, paid position lasting four to six months. You will work on-site in either Moose Jaw or Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
What you'll do#
- Conduct field trials with the local Agronomic Excellence group to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and agronomic practices.
- Manage trial activities from seeding to harvest, including land preparation, planting, pest control, plot maintenance, and harvesting.
- Supervise casual employees during field operations as required.
- Travel regularly within your region to perform field scouting and diagnose crop health.
- Monitor research plots daily, collect data, and perform analysis.
What you'll need#
- Strong agronomic competence gained through a degree in Agriculture or a related college program.
- Prior experience within the agriculture industry.
- A valid driver's license.
- High attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work toward both individual and team goals.
- Flexibility to adjust plans as field conditions change.
- Practical experience with agriculture equipment is an asset, as is previous experience in agriculture field research.
