About the role#
We are hiring an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate to support our Agricultural Solutions team in Winnipeg. This is a full-time, paid summer position for the 2027 season. You will be employed through a third-party agency, Raise Recruiting, to assist with field programs and research.
What you'll do#
- Conduct field trials to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and various agronomic practices.
- Manage end-to-end field trial activities, including land preparation, seeding, planting, pest control, plot maintenance, and harvesting.
- Supervise casual employees as needed during the season.
- Travel throughout the local region for field scouting.
- Monitor crop health daily in research plots and fields.
- Collect and analyze data to support regional hybrid development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Agriculture degree program or related college course.
- Demonstrated agronomic competence and experience in the agriculture industry.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adjust plans and schedules as field conditions change.
- Previous experience in agriculture field research is preferred.

- Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4 to 6 months).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25 to $32 per hour, with overtime pay for evening or weekend work during peak periods.
