About the role#
We are looking for an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team. You will work on-site in either Moose Jaw or Swift Current, Saskatchewan. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027 with a contract duration of 4 to 6 months. Please note that students are hired and employed through a third-party contracting agency.
What you'll do#
- Conduct field trials to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and agronomic practices.
- Manage field trial activities from seeding to harvest, including land preparation, planting, pest control, plot maintenance, and harvesting.
- Supervise casual employees as required.
- Travel regularly in your local region for field scouting and crop health diagnosis.
- Monitor field and research plots daily, while performing data collection and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Strong agronomic competence gained through a degree in Agriculture or a related college program.
- Experience in the agriculture industry.
- A valid driver's license.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations arise.
- Ability to deliver results for both individual and team goals.
- Practical experience with agriculture equipment or previous agriculture field research experience are considered assets.
