About the role#
This internship provides practical work experience within the food and beverage industry. You will work on-site at food and dairy customer facilities to provide chemical sanitation solutions. This position runs from June through August and requires a 40-hour work week. You should be prepared for a flexible schedule that may include off-shift or overnight hours.
What you'll do#
- Perform CIP validations at various customer facilities.
- Analyze wash cycles and suggest improvements for time, cost, water, and chemical savings.
- Prepare written service and usage reports.
- Identify continuous profit improvement opportunities for customers.
- Complete assigned projects and provide thorough, timely analysis.
- Present your accomplishments and a summary of your work to management at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science degree program, preferably in Food or Dairy Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and speaking.
- A self-starter mindset with demonstrated leadership and presentation skills.
