About the role#
This position is for a Summer 2027 associate to join the Agricultural Solutions team in Saskatoon. You will support the local Agronomic Excellence group by assisting with field trials and research activities throughout the growing season.
What you'll do#
- Conduct field trials to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and agronomic practices.
- Manage trial activities from seeding to harvest, including land preparation, planting, pest control, and plot maintenance.
- Supervise casual employees during field operations.
- Travel within the local region to perform field scouting and diagnose crop health.
- Monitor research plots daily, collect data, and perform analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Agriculture degree program or a related college program.
- Previous experience in the agriculture industry and field research.
- Familiarity with agriculture equipment.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to remain flexible and adjust plans as field conditions change.
- A focus on delivering results for both individual and team goals.
