About the role#
The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and project support to the Human Resources department. You will gain practical experience in HR operations, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and compliance. You will work under the guidance of HR leadership and staff to support organizational goals and the employee experience.
What you'll do#
- Assist with recruiting tasks like posting job openings, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.
- Prepare new hire materials and help run orientation sessions.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files while keeping information confidential.
- Enter data into HRIS systems and help with audits and reporting.
- Support employee engagement, recognition programs, and wellness activities.
- Participate in projects related to policy updates, workforce planning, compensation, and benefits.
- Create presentations, reports, and training materials.
- Research data to support HR programs and answer routine employee questions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Leadership, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of human resources principles and practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

- Location: Memphis, Tennessee.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
