About the role#
The Intern-Nurse II role at Baptist Memorial Health Care provides technical assistance for a defined group of patients on the 3 South Acute Medicine unit. This role supports the nursing team in achieving quality patient outcomes while building clinical leadership skills and participating in ongoing educational activities.
What you'll do#
- Assess patients under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Provide direct patient care and general assistance to the nursing staff.
- Participate in activities designed to improve health care delivery and complete assigned professional goals.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a registered nursing program and currently awaiting licensure.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to obtain BLS certification within 14 days of the hire date.
- Note that the Intern-Nurse II job category is limited to a period of 90 days following graduation.
