Intern-Nurse II

About the role#

The Intern-Nurse II role at Baptist Memorial Health Care provides technical assistance to nursing staff to help achieve quality patient outcomes. This is a full-time, paid position for nursing graduates awaiting licensure.

What you'll do#

Working under the direction of a registered nurse, you will support a defined group of patients by performing the following tasks:

• Assess patients and contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
• Provide direct patient care and general assistance to the nursing staff.
• Participate in activities to improve health care delivery and build clinical leadership knowledge.
• Engage in ongoing educational activities and complete assigned goals.

What you'll need#

• Graduation from a registered nursing program and currently awaiting licensure.
• Computer literacy.
• BLS certification, which must be obtained within 14 days of the hire date.
• Ability to remain in the Nurse Intern II category for no longer than 90 days from the date of graduation.
