About the role#

This is a full-time, paid internship for a Nurse Intern II within the Med/Surg Observation unit at Baptist Memorial Health Care. This role is designed for nursing graduates who are currently awaiting licensure.

What you'll do#

Under the direction of a registered nurse, you will provide technical assistance and patient care to support quality outcomes. Your responsibilities include:

Assessing patients and contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
Providing direct patient care and assisting nursing staff with daily functions.
Participating in activities to improve health care delivery and clinical leadership.
Engaging in ongoing educational activities and completing assigned professional goals.

What you'll need#

Graduation from a registered nursing program and currently awaiting licensure (maximum 90-day duration in this role).
Computer literacy skills.
Ability to obtain BLS certification within 14 days of your hire date.
