About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Operations department at Hilltop Securities. You will work alongside our team to support key initiatives and gain exposure to the financial services industry. This is a full-time, paid summer program.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations including purchase and sales, collateral, settlement, mutual funds, stock transfers, and government reporting.
- Perform data analysis and data mining to assist with departmental goals.
- Contribute to assigned project areas and manage multiple tasks.
- Solve real-world problems and deliver results.
- Propose ideas to improve current practices and create efficiencies.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0 to 1 year of experience.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Power Excel, SQL, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to initiate tasks and follow them through to completion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Authorization to work for any employer in the US without requiring sponsorship.

- This role is based in Dallas, Texas.
- The internship is an on-site, in-person experience.
- The program runs from May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027.
