About the role#
This position is for Managed Services Associates within our HR Consulting practice. You will focus on human resources, payroll, and employee benefits administration. This role is exclusively for current Summer 2026 Baker Tilly interns.
What you'll do#
- Administer employee benefit programs such as FSAs, HSAs, commuter benefits, and Section 125 plans.
- Process employee transactions, maintain records, and assist with payroll activities.
- Manage benefit enrollments, eligibility changes, life events, and terminations for accuracy and compliance.
- Answer inquiries from employees, clients, and vendors regarding HR, payroll, and benefits.
- Support annual open enrollment, internal communications, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
- Attend client meetings and participate in process improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Outstanding academic performance with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Prior experience in HR, payroll, or benefits administration is preferred, as is familiarity with HRIS systems.
