About the role#
Avancez LLC is looking for a Technical Intern to join our engineering team at the Roanoke, Indiana facility. This is a hands-on role where you will work alongside manufacturing and controls engineers. You will support our daily operations and contribute to various engineering projects within the plant.
What you'll do#
- Learn from plant manufacturing engineers, controls engineers, and process experts.
- Assist the engineering team with automation, tooling, lean, and other technical projects.
- Help troubleshoot, debug, and improve auto and semi-auto assembly equipment.
- Coordinate with team members to identify root causes and implement permanent solutions.
- Perform and document control system testing.
- Prepare project documentation, technical reports, and instructional guides for operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- A commitment to safety and a self-motivated approach to work.
