About the role#
As a Maintenance Intern at Avancez LLC, you will support the maintenance team with daily tasks that keep the plant and production equipment clean, safe, and efficient. This position offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting, allowing you to learn from experienced professionals about equipment care, preventive maintenance, and general facility operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team with routine, non-technical maintenance and facility support.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as directed.
- Help with basic preventive maintenance activities.
- Clean and maintain production equipment and work areas.
- Respond to maintenance requests on the production line.
- Identify and report equipment concerns or potential maintenance issues.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
- Use basic hand tools and equipment safely.
- Support Maintenance Technicians and leaders with assigned projects.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- An interest in manufacturing, maintenance, skilled trades, or industrial operations.
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal oversight after training.
- Willingness to work different shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Current enrollment in a technical, trade, or manufacturing program is a plus.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or automotive maintenance is helpful but not required.
