About the role#
As a Quality Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting quality initiatives and plant operations in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside Quality and cross-functional teams to investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and support corrective actions. This role allows you to apply academic knowledge to real-world manufacturing challenges while developing skills in data analysis, communication, and project management.
What you'll do#
- Support the Quality team with daily activities, plant objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist cross-functional teams in investigating quality issues identified during production shifts.
- Follow up on quality concerns from previous shifts to ensure actions are completed.
- Identify, document, and communicate actual and potential quality issues.
- Support root-cause investigations and corrective action activities.
- Track assigned tasks, projects, and action items.
- Communicate project and issue status to Quality and cross-functional team members.
- Assist with data collection, analysis, reporting, and documentation related to quality performance.
- Participate in team meetings and quality improvement activities.
- Support additional plant-specific quality projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university with at least one year of college completed toward a bachelor’s degree.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and follow-through skills.
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
