About the role#
The Materials Intern supports the Materials and Supply Chain team to maintain efficient material flow within the facility. This role involves hands-on work with inventory management, logistics, and production support. You will track materials, maintain accurate inventory records, and identify ways to improve space utilization and operational efficiency. You will also work with ERP and warehouse management systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support daily plant operations.
What you'll do#
- Identify packing discrepancies and space constraint issues.
- Track material flow for parts using Excel spreadsheets.
- Receive, process, and monitor incoming materials throughout the facility.
- Use scan guns to manage material movements.
- Process material transactions in ERP and WMS systems.
- Perform audits and cycle counts.
- Support MGO, AMTS, and launch build activities.
- Track and communicate the status of assigned tasks and projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a fourth-year student at an accredited college.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Pursuit of a bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
