As a Technical Project Management Intern, you will support programs from concept to completion. This role involves working on projects ranging from internal R&D efforts to multi-spacecraft missions. You will assist in ensuring timely delivery through schedule management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder coordination. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for Fall 2026.
What you'll do#
- Support programmatics across the full project lifecycle.
- Manage risk processes, including the generation of risk documentation, tracking burndown plans, and coordinating risk closure approvals.
- Plan and organize internal program reviews to track schedules, risks, and key requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop schedules for various subsystems and hardware components.
- Facilitate and streamline headcount tracking and forecasting.
What you'll need#
- B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, V-lookups, and data cleansing.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and coordinate across different teams.
- Ability to overcome obstacles with creative solutions and document tactical plans clearly.
- Strong communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations.
- Bonus qualifications include leadership experience in technical projects or clubs, space system or hardware experience, and familiarity with Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
