About the role#
Astranis is seeking a Reliability Design Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in San Francisco. You will contribute to the reliability and performance of satellite systems, working directly with flight hardware and the reliability design team.
What you'll do#
- Perform reliability analyses on satellite systems.
- Analyze flight hardware in collaboration with the reliability design team.
- Support Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) efforts.
- Write code to evaluate performance and automate the testing of satellite hardware.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, mathematics, or computer science.
- Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
- Experience with Python.
- Interest in learning about, designing, and working with power electronics systems.
- A passion for hands-on hardware development.
- Bonus qualifications include experience with SPICE-based simulators (LTSpice, PSPICE, ADS), familiarity with standard EE lab bench equipment, and experience with agentic AI systems.

- Compensation: $29.00 per hour.
