About the role#
Astranis is hiring a Reliability Design Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in San Francisco. Interns join our team for twelve weeks to contribute to meaningful engineering projects. We look for students currently enrolled in a four-year university program.
What you'll do#
- Perform reliability analyses on satellite systems.
- Work alongside the reliability design team to analyze flight hardware.
- Support DFMEA efforts.
- Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing for satellite hardware.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, mathematics, or computer science.
- Ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
- Interest in designing and working with power electronics systems.
- Experience with Python.
- Passion for hands-on hardware development.
- Familiarity with SPICE-based simulators like LTSpice, PSPICE, or ADS is a plus.
- Experience with standard EE lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters is helpful.

- Compensation: $29.00 per hour.
- Requirement: To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
