About the role#
This internship is a twelve-week, full-time program designed for students currently enrolled at a four-year university. You will work on-site in San Francisco to support programmatics from concept to completion, covering projects that range from small internal R&D efforts to complete multi-spacecraft missions.
What you'll do#
- Manage risk processes by encouraging the creation of documentation, tracking burndown plans, and coordinating approvals for risk closure.
- Facilitate headcount tracking and forecasting.
- Plan and organize internal program reviews, including tracking schedules, risks, and key program requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop schedules for various subsystems and hardware components.
What you'll need#
- A B.S. in aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate across different groups.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and document tactical plans.
- Experience with leadership in university programs, clubs, or technical projects.
- Familiarity with Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, V-lookups, and data cleansing.
- Experience with space systems or hardware.

- This role is based on-site in San Francisco, California.
- The internship is scheduled for Summer 2027.
- The base pay is $29.00 per hour.
- Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) to comply with U.S. export regulations.
