About the role#
As a Supply Chain Management Intern at APS, you will contribute to decisions that help deliver reliable energy service to customers and communities. This full-time, paid summer internship provides hands-on experience across contract management, procurement operations, and strategic sourcing. You will work with enterprise partners to support operational excellence and explore new ways to improve work through data and technology.
What you'll do#
- Lead and manage strategic sourcing events to support cost savings initiatives.
- Support procurement operations by reviewing requisitions and placing purchase orders.
- Perform data analysis on supplier spend, total cost of ownership, inventory management, and market drivers.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet procurement requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve documentation, and apply digital tools.
- Manage projects that provide exposure to various business units, including Generation, Transmission, and Distribution.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- A record of ongoing academic achievement, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analytics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Power BI, Teams, and Copilot.
- A digital mindset with the ability to learn and use automation and AI tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A curious and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
Location & details#
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid. Employees are expected to work about 40% of their time in-person at an APS location and must reside in Arizona.
