About the role#
As an Accounting Intern, you will support the delivery of reliable energy by contributing to financial analysis, account reconciliation, and reporting projects. This role provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting and helps the business make informed decisions. This is a paid, full-time summer internship.
What you'll do#
- Analyze financial and operational data to support business goals.
- Partner with professionals on financial, cost, and energy accounting activities.
- Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Contribute to regulatory and financial reporting efforts.
- Apply data analytics and artificial intelligence to real-world accounting tasks.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects and present your findings to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Accounting or a related field.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Demonstrated academic progress and achievement.
- Strong attention to detail when working with financial information.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across different teams.
- A self-motivated approach to learning and gaining experience.
Location & details#
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. You will spend approximately 40% of your time working in-person at an APS location.
- Term: Summer 2027.
