About the role#
Arcadis is looking for a co-op or intern to join the Water Business Line in Clifton Park, New York. This role focuses on planning, design, and construction administration for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. You will work on facilities planning, project design, permitting, and the development of construction documents for treatment plants, pumping systems, pipelines, and flood protection.
What you'll do#
- Work on various aspects of water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects.
- Conduct site visits and observe construction activities.
- Collect samples and analyze water quality data.
- Evaluate technologies and plant operations to troubleshoot and optimize processes.
- Perform condition assessments and overall performance evaluations of facilities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, participate in client meetings, and interact with clients and subcontractors in the field.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree-seeking program for Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field during the internship period.
- Ability to commute to the Clifton Park office, as relocation and housing assistance are not provided.
- Prior internship experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
