About the role#
As a Product Finance Co-op Student, you will join the Financial Planning and Analysis team to support the growth of our product finance function. You will work alongside the Manager, FP&A - Product Finance, partnering with merchandising, commercial, and regional finance teams. This role focuses on the financial view of product margins and pricing, from production costs to final retail sales. You will receive coaching and mentorship throughout your eight-month term as you help drive product strategy through financial insights.
What you'll do#
- Analyze unit economics trends, including retail pricing, average sale prices, product costs, and markdown rates.
- Support product margin forecasting and reporting, including sales mix and standard costs.
- Standardize monthly deliverables and build product performance reporting to improve consistency.
- Maintain weekly and monthly category dashboards using tools like OneStream, Power BI, and Oracle.
- Build and maintain ad hoc financial models related to product revenue and margins.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to improve KPI visibility and support strategic decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary Co-op or internship program, with at least two years of study completed.
- Progress toward a degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or Data Analytics.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools such as Power BI.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying root causes and solutions.
- Ability to balance autonomy with collaboration while managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Curiosity about using AI tools to automate tasks and improve output quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability when faced with ambiguity.
Location & details#
- Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia.
- Modality: On-site, four days per week.
- Term: Eight months, from January 4, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: CAD $42,100 to $55,100, depending on year of study and related experience.
