About the role#
The Student Worker Lead supervises and manages food operations at the Jacksonville University location. You will oversee daily activities, mentor other food service workers, and ensure that food production meets safety and quality standards. This role requires you to balance operational tasks with team leadership.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain work schedules and production records.
- Supervise and evaluate staff to support team growth and efficiency.
- Manage food inventory and storage to ensure a safe, organized environment.
- Train and mentor team members on food service procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and keep detailed logs.
- Fill in for absent employees and assist with cashier duties when needed.
- Coordinate catering events and communicate regularly with staff.
- Maintain a sanitary department that follows all health and safety regulations.
- Work occasional night and weekend catered events.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student at the Aramark location.
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress and resolve interpersonal situations.
- Knowledge of how to operate an efficient, cost-effective program.
- Completion of a sanitation course either before or during your first year.
