About the role#
This student worker position supports food service and catering operations at ASU. You will gain experience in food preparation, customer service, and kitchen safety. This role is open to students across various disciplines, including Nutrition, Business Administration, and Civil Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food products according to established standards.
- Serve food to customers and ensure their needs are met.
- Maintain clean and sanitized workstations, including prep tables and service counters.
- Replenish stock levels throughout the shift.
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies.
- Protect company assets and maintain a professional demeanor.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Willingness to obtain a food safety certification if you do not already hold one.
- Previous experience in food service is helpful but not required.
- Ability to handle physical requirements, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or specific personal protective equipment.
