About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in golf operations at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. You will work directly with guests, manage the golf shop, and assist in coordinating tournaments. This role is designed for students pursuing a Professional Golf Management degree who want to learn the business side of golf operations through active participation rather than observation.
What you'll do#
- Manage golf shop merchandise and handle special orders for guests.
- Process merchandise sales, greens fees, and equipment rentals while maintaining accurate financial records.
- Act as a primary point of contact for guests by answering questions, scheduling tee times, and maintaining professional phone interactions.
- Support the execution of tournaments and special events by coordinating between various resort departments.
- Assist with inventory management, merchandise displays, handicapping systems, and driving range operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Professional Golf Management degree program.
- Ability to commit to a 6-month internship term.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with guests.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

About Sand Valley
Sand Valley is a golf resort and community situated on 12,000 acres in central Wisconsin. Founded in 2016 by Michael and Chris Keiser, the property features five golf courses and a 16-court grass tennis facility. The resort provides year-round outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and ice hockey. It employs between 201 and 500 people.
