About the role#
As a Nutrition Intern, you will work with the campus Registered Dietitian to support nutrition programs and dining operations. This role is open to students in Nutrition, Public Health, or Kinesiology who want to gain practical experience in a campus setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Registered Dietitian with the planning, marketing, and execution of nutrition events.
- Collaborate with other interns to develop event concepts and nutrition-based content for campus publications.
- Conduct regular audits at dining locations and assist in updating menus.
- Support nutrient analysis for food items served on campus.
- Educate students about healthy food choices through outreach programs.
- Maintain a positive and efficient service attitude toward guests and co-workers.
What you'll need#
- An interest in pursuing a career in the nutrition field.
- A friendly and positive work ethic.
- Previous relevant work experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.

- Location: Washington, District of Columbia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship with rolling start dates.
